CBP to deploy new e214 FTZ admission error code 238 on September 17, 2026
CSMS # 69902241 - New Error Code for e214 Foreign Trade Zone Submissions Set to Deploy September 17, 2026, and Updates to CATAIR Appendix P and FTZ CATAIR
CBP states in CSMS # 69902241 that on September 17, 2026 it will implement a new error code for e214 Foreign Trade Zone admissions in the ACE Production environment, adding error code 238 - FIRMS CODE NOT APPROVED FOR DIRECT DELIVERY to the ACE Appendix P - e214 FTZ Admission Error Codes document. The change is already available in the ACE Certification environment, and the ACE Foreign Trade Zone chapter of the CATAIR was updated to clarify existing requirements.
From September 17, 2026, e214 FTZ admission filers whose FIRMS code is not approved for direct delivery will receive error code 238 in ACE Production.
