Global Affairs Canada opens beef and veal TRQ reallocation under Notice to Importers No. 867

Global Affairs Canada states that quota is available for reallocation under the Beef and Veal Tariff Rate Quota, covering Items 114 to 116 on the Import Control List, with 24,432,904 kg available as of October 9, 2018. Under section 7.4 of Notice to Importers No. 867, returned or adjusted quota is normally reallocated first-come-first-served, load-by-load, to a maximum of 26,000 kilograms per load, and only applicants who have used 80% or more of their allocation may apply in writing for the waiting list. Quantities received through the reallocation of returns can be used for imports from Australia and New Zealand only, as the Most-Favored Nation Pool is fully utilized.
