CBSA issues summer travel tips for entering Canada

The Canada Border Services Agency on June 22, 2026 reminded travellers to plan ahead when crossing into Canada this summer, listing tips that include having travel documents ready, using Advance Declaration up to 72 hours before arrival at participating airports, checking border wait times and port-of-entry hours, and declaring all goods. The CBSA said construction at the Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle port of entry may cause higher than normal wait times and suggested alternative ports.
