Global Affairs Canada sets refined sugar TRQ export allocation rules under CUSMA

Global Affairs Canada's Notice to Importers and Exporters Serial No. 1059 sets out the policies and practices for administering the refined sugar tariff rate quota referred to in subparagraph 2(a) of Article 3.A.5 of Annex 3-A of Chapter 3 of CUSMA, under the authority of the Export and Import Permits Act, and remains in effect until further notice. Eligibility for an allocation is limited to residents of Canada and sugar refiners actively involved in refining Originating Sugar in Canada for at least three years, with allocations based on Domestic Market Production Share.
