    CBSA sets out how to claim FIFA Men's World Cup 2026 remission order benefits

    The Canada Border Services Agency states in Customs Notice 25-30 that the FIFA Men's World Cup 2026 Remission Order relieves customs duties, surtaxes, excise taxes and GST/HST on goods imported for the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup, with goods imported between July 1, 2025 and July 19, 2026 eligible and claims due to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness within two years of accounting under section 32 of the Customs Act. Alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and vaping products are excluded from remission.

    Global Affairs Canada issues Notice to Importers SER-855 on supplemental beef and veal imports

    Global Affairs Canada's Notice to Importers Serial No. 855, dated June 9, 2014, sets out the Minister's policies and practices for supplemental imports of fresh, chilled and frozen beef and veal under items 114 to 116 of the Import Control List from countries other than the United States, Mexico, Chile and Peru, under headings 02.01 and 02.02 of the Customs Tariff. It replaces Notice to Importers No. 847 of October 30, 2013 and is effective immediately, remaining in effect until further notice.
