    Commerce issues preliminary results and partial rescission in Taiwan paper shopping bags AD review

    Commerce's International Trade Administration has issued preliminary results and a rescission, in part, of the antidumping duty administrative review of certain paper shopping bags from Taiwan for the 2024-2025 period. The Federal Register notice does not state the preliminary margins or the companies covered.

    Commerce issues preliminary results in PET film AD review of Taiwan, with intent to rescind in part

    Commerce preliminarily determines that Nan Ya Plastics Corporation made sales of polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet, and strip from Taiwan at less than normal value during the period of review July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, and preliminarily finds that Shinkong Materials Technology Corporation and Shinkong Synthetic Fiber Corporation, treated as a single entity, had no reviewable entries during the period. The notice applies October 2, 2026, and interested parties are invited to comment on the preliminary results. The notice does not state a preliminary weighted-average dumping margin or cash deposit rate for Nan Ya.

    USITC schedules final phase of AD/CVD injury investigations on tin mill products from China, Taiwan and Turkey

    The USITC gives notice of the scheduling of the final phase of antidumping and countervailing duty investigations Nos. 701-TA-792 and 731-TA-1786-1788 (Final) into whether a U.S. industry is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry is materially retarded, by reason of imports of tin mill products from China, Taiwan and Turkey. The products are provided for in HTSUS subheadings 7210.11.00, 7210.12.00, 7210.50.00, 7212.10.00 and 7212.50.00, if of non-alloy steel, and under HTSUS subheadings 7225.99.00 and 7226.99.01. Commerce preliminarily determined the China imports to be subsidized and sold at less-than-fair-value; its preliminary determinations for Taiwan and Turkey, alleged to be sold at less-than-fair-value, are pending.

    USITC to conduct full five-year reviews of tire orders on South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam

    The USITC gives notice that it will proceed with full five-year reviews under the Tariff Act of 1930 to determine whether revocation of the countervailing duty order on passenger vehicle and light truck tires from Vietnam and the antidumping duty orders on passenger vehicle and light truck tires from South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. The notice is dated September 4, 2026, and the Commission states that a schedule for the reviews will be established and announced at a later date.

    Commerce revokes AD/CVD aluminum sheet orders in part for certain aluminum can stock

    Commerce issued the final results of changed circumstances reviews and revoked, in part, the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on common alloy aluminum sheet from China, Bahrain, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Oman, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan and Türkiye, applicable September 24, 2026. The partial revocation covers certain aluminum can stock, and Commerce clarified the scope to include temper H-39 in the modified aluminum can stock exclusion language.

    Commerce finds EEPV made no below-normal-value sales in Taiwan solar AD review

    Commerce determines in the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review of certain crystalline silicon photovoltaic products from Taiwan that EEPV Corp. did not sell subject merchandise in the United States at prices below normal value during the period of review, February 1, 2024, through January 31, 2025. The final results are applicable September 16, 2026. The review covers the antidumping duty order on certain crystalline silicon photovoltaic products from Taiwan, 80 FR 8596, and follows the preliminary results at 91 FR 25862.
