China's MOFCOM initiates anti-dumping investigation into p-nitrotoluene from the EU

MOFCOM Notice No. 44 of 2026 states that, effective October 3, 2026, MOFCOM opened an anti-dumping investigation into imports of p-nitrotoluene (also 4-nitrotoluene, PNT or p-NT) originating in the European Union, under tariff heading 29042020 of China's Import and Export Tariff, with other products under that heading outside the scope. The dumping investigation period is July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, and the injury investigation period is January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2026. Interested parties must register to participate with MOFCOM's Trade Remedy Investigation Bureau within 20 days of publication and may submit comments on the scope, applicant qualification and other issues within the same 20 days.

USITC schedules expedited five-year reviews on chassis and subassemblies from China

The U.S. International Trade Commission gives notice of the scheduling of expedited five-year reviews to determine whether revocation of the antidumping duty and countervailing duty orders on chassis and subassemblies from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. Commerce corrects notice on China butt-weld pipe fittings covered merchandise ruling

Commerce published a correction to its August 28, 2026 notice, 91 FR 55518, stating that the CIT's final judgment was not in harmony with Commerce's covered merchandise inquiry determination on certain carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings from China. Commerce amended the determination to find that products cut to length and formed into the rough shape of butt-weld pipe fittings in China are "unfinished" fittings covered by the scope of the Order, and that when further processed in Vietnam they remain subject to the antidumping order on butt-weld pipe fittings from China. The correction adds clear notice that liquidation of entries of these unfinished fittings will be retroactively suspended.

USITC schedules final phase of AD/CVD injury investigations on tin mill products from China, Taiwan and Turkey

White House releases U.S.-China "30-for-30" lists of products recommended for reduced tariff treatment

The White House released on September 27, 2026, "30-FOR-30" lists of U.S. products for import into China and Chinese products for import into the United States that the two countries will consider for reduced tariff treatment on a reciprocal basis, consistent with their respective domestic laws and processes. The release does not name the products, HTS codes, rates or an effective date.

CITT terminates expiry review and rescinds order on photovoltaic modules and laminates from China

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal terminated the expiry review of its March 25, 2021 order in expiry review RR-2020-001, concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain photovoltaic modules and laminates from China, and rescinded that order. The Canada Border Services Agency will therefore not continue to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on these goods.

Commerce continues antidumping duty orders on polyvinyl alcohol from Japan and China
