    Global Affairs Canada's archived Notice to Exporters Serial No. 199, dated September 30, 2016, sets out the administration of Canada's 14,500,000 kilogram export quota for peanut butter destined for the United States under item 5201 of Canada's Export Control List, covering goods of tariff item 2008.11.10, with the quota year running January 1 to December 31. The notice states that an export permit is required for every shipment of peanut butter covered by it, that allocation applications on Form EXT1685-1 are due no later than November 15 immediately preceding the quota year, and that allocation holders may return quota by August 1.

    Global Affairs Canada's Notice to Importers Serial No. 855, dated June 9, 2014, sets out the Minister's policies and practices for supplemental imports of fresh, chilled and frozen beef and veal under items 114 to 116 of the Import Control List from countries other than the United States, Mexico, Chile and Peru, under headings 02.01 and 02.02 of the Customs Tariff.     Global Affairs Canada reissues Notice to Importers SER-849 on supplemental turkey imports

    Global Affairs Canada's Notice to Importers Serial No. 849, dated November 8, 2013, replaces Notice to Importers No. 825 of February 26, 2013, and remains in effect until further notice. It sets out the policies and application procedures for supplemental imports of turkey and turkey products under Items 105 to 113 of the Import Control List, classified under headings 01.05, 02.07, 02.09, 02.10, 16.01 and 16.02 of the Customs Tariff, plus specially defined mixtures under tariff item Nos. 1602.31.11 and 1602.31.92. Import permits are required, and the five supplemental authorization categories are domestic market shortages, Import-to-Compete, Import for Re-Export Program (IREP), test marketing, and extraordinary or unusual circumstances.

    Canada removes EU frozen pork from Import Control List and repeals EU surtax order

    Global Affairs Canada states in Notice to Importers No. 797 that the Order Amending the Import Control List and Repealing the European Union Surtax Order (P.C. 2011-831, July 29, 2011) removed frozen pork from the European Union from item 194 of the Import Control List and repealed the European Union Surtax Order, effective July 29, 2011. The item covers frozen meat of pork under tariff item No. 0203.29.00 of the Customs Tariff, originating in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, the Federal Republic of Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden or the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
